Founded in 2001, Ostara Australia is a national charitable organisation that works closely with the Government, member services, communities and employers to provide employment services for those job seekers who are the most disadvantaged in Australia. We recognise the employment barriers for individuals disadvantaged through mental illness and disability, and support the particular challenges for indigenous and refugee communities, mature aged people and the youth.
Our holistic approach includes addressing the vocational and non-vocational barriers faced by the people we serve. As such we provide tailored employment planning, whilst also working in collaboration with countless community and welfare organisations to help job seekers with any mental, cultural or emotional issues that they may be experiencing.
Ostara Australia is Australia’s largest Disability Employment Service provider specialising in mental health. We also assist people to gain employment through Indigenous Employment Programs, Corporate Champions initiatives (for the mature aged) and Labour Hire Arrangements, having placed more than 2000 people into employment over the past year across all job sectors in Australia.
